Description

Growing up isn't so tough β€” especially with a friend like Caillou (pronounced KY-YOO), a lovable four-year-old who has a unique way of relating to the world. Based on a series of best-selling Canadian children’s books, Caillou demonstrates how the first experiences of life, from going to the park to understanding one's own family, can be perceived with wonder and a sense of discovery. With humor, kid logic, and imagination, Caillou helps preschoolers make sense of the world. The stories address real problems and conflicts typical to a young child's development. Through it all, Caillou remains an irresistible little boy in a very big world, a boy with whom every young child and parent can identify.

Caillou is so unique, cute, and interesting. The only thing I don't like about this show is Caillou whines and complains. That is not teaching a good lesson to kids! If kids are going to watch Caillou, I think they should watch the newer season because, Caillou is more kind, and the newer seasons of the show are a little more educational for young kids to learn. In my opinion, this season of Caillou was good, but I think the newer stuff is better!

I don't understand why some people think it's a bad thing to show Caillou having tantrums or whining. That is typical 4-year-old behavior! What you should notice is the narrator organizing Caillou's feelings during those times. ("Caillou was upset that he spilled his juice," or "Caillou was frustrated that his picture didn't look the way he wanted it to.") I think it teaches kids to put labels on their feelings in order to better express them in ways other than tantrums. Caillou always ends up dealing with his feelings in a healthier way!

I let my daughter watch this show and she copied everything that this boy did..not a good influence since all Caillou does is whine and act really bratty!! his famous line is "I don't want to!!" and i dont really find the show that educational. Would not recommend at all!!!!

Brings back childhood memorize of coming home from pre school and watching only caillou, I loved this show I even had a doll of him, this show while he sometimes can be bratty it teaches lessons in a way a 3-7 yr old can understand, so I highly recomend it to ppl with small children
