The Turtleman makes this show. His presence and personality really make this show as great as it is. Yes this show is just about a man who goes around helping people and families get rid of different wild animals on their property, but the man himself really makes this show shine. When he hears a child at the next house he's going to help is a big fan you can see how excited he gets. You see him tear up when has a cookout with his friends and tells them how he loves his buddies the most in the whole world. Turtleman is the genuine south. People talk about southern hospitality, but he is it embodied. He'd be your best friend and he'd go catch a snake for you just to show you how wonderful life is and how cool animals really are. If you have kids they WILL LOVE this show. They'll want Turtleman to be their best friend. Not only will they learn about many common American animals, they'll also have fun and you'll probably also hear them start to shout "Live Action!" from time to time. I think I'm looking into this show much more than most other people would but sincerity is what truly makes this show what it is. It's the love and care of Ernie and his friends as well as Lolly dog that really help The Turtleman shine and really allow him to just make a wonderfully entertaining tv show that is sure to put a smile on your face and a "YEYEYEYEYEYE LIVE ACTION!!" in your mouth from time to time! Watch this alone, watch it with friends and family, and show it to your kids. Everyone will love it. And so far everyone I've shown this show to has loved it too. Perhaps they see the sincerity I see. You will too.

I LOVE this show! I really can't get enough of it and I hope Animal Planet keeps it going for MANY more seasons to come! This show never ceases to be entertaining and it is also such a feel-good show with a great message. Turtleman not only has an awesome, fun attitude, he's also doing something truly great here: rescuing animals that might otherwise be killed as nuisance animals or hunted by poachers. He's the turtle equivalent to The Crocodile Hunter. I'm hooked on the Turtleman and his best-friend and side-kick Neil. Keep it comin', Animal Planet!
