Princess Elena's journey began long ago when her parents and kingdom were taken from her by the evil sorceress, Shuriki. Elena bravely faced the sorceress to protect her little sister, Princess Isabel, and her grandparents. In the process, her magical amulet pulled her inside its enchanted jewel, saving her life but imprisoning her at the same time. While Elena is the rightful heir to the throne, she is only 16, and must learn to rule Avalor with the help of a Grand Council comprised of her Grandfather Tito, Grandmother Cici and Royal Advisor, Duke Esteban. With some magical friends by her side – Mateo, a wizard-in-training, and Skylar, a magical flying Jaquin – Princess Elena's adventures will help her understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders.

    This is such a overrated show. Elena is cool but at the same time one of those Princess Anna from Frozen wannabes. And can we talk about how AnNoYiNg the main guy characters Mateo and Gabe are? Ughhhhhhh!!!!!!! THEY DRIVE ME NUTS!!!!!!! But good show other then that. I like the Jaquins. Theyre fun and funny.

    It's funny, the characters are sweet, I love the princess Elena! She and her sister are awesome and adventure is at every corner! However, I hate the random singing. Sorry. And a new character every episode is excessive.

    My 2 1/2 yr daughter loves to sing along and loves to dress up as Elena.I've seen all of the episodes and I really like them. Hopefully I we get more seasons.

    Really cute story. My 4 year old and I watch every episode. We love the music and often end up dancing along. The story lines promote honesty, problem solving, not judging etc etc etc. We are excited to watch the rest of the season as it comes out.

    As the mother of a mix race daughter, it's so great to have a Latina Princess for my half Mexican daughter to look up too! We already bought the Princess Elena Halloween costume she loves it so much!

    Elena is an amazing princess who does not get everything she wants unlike Sofia the First and it is nice to have a princess with a different race. It is so funny I can sit through a whole episodes but when I watch Sofia I have to turn it off within five minutes.
