Description

From Disneynature, the studio that brought you Earth and Chimpanzee, comes Bears - an epic story of breathtaking scale. Showcasing a year in the life of a bear family, mother Sky teaches her two impressionable cubs, Amber and Scout about life’s most important lessons. Set against a majestic Alaskan backdrop, their journey begins as winter ends. Emerging from hibernation, the three face the bitter cold and an exciting but very risky outside world. Astonishing footage captures the fast-moving action and suspense of an endearing family learning to live life to its fullest in one of the planet’s last great wildernesses.

While the “documentary" was nicely filmed and had some information content, it was also a horrible anthropomorphic depiction of Alaskan wildlife. The voice-over was nearly unbearable (ha!); and apart from that, there were obvious reversals in the timeline to make a "better story”. Basically, please have this recut by someone from BBC, and have somebody with a biology background provide an informative description of what’s going on. I can’t even imagine the hurt the camera crew must feel (hopefully with some offset due to financial returns to them?).

Cute bears. Beautiful cinematography. Super annoying narration with silly sound effects ruined it.

This is definitely one of the most heartwarming movies I have ever seen (and the most adorable)! I thought it was even better than Disneynature's Chimpanzee!
  • Beautiful, awful dialogue

I was stoked to watch this movie, and in the beginning the voice acting didn't bother me, but it got to be so bad. Its like when people try to be funny or entertaining by talking for a baby. ugh! The only upside is that it's John Reilly. It's unfortunately just as bad as the one about Flowers with Meryl Streep. I wish I could get a refund.
