Whatever you think of the film, Apple in its infinite wisdom decided to make this an excruciating pan-and-scan full screen version without mentioning it. Don’t be fooled by the beginning, it switches after th opening credits...

Offer it in HD and/or widescreen and I'll gladly double-dip.

It's good because it is so bad. The look and the sound sums up that time period. It was a giant bomb when it came out. Pretty much ruined a bunch of the people involved's careers. Yet 30 years later, at least if you were a teenager back then, it is wonderful. The plot and dialogue is awful, but the music, clothing, and street scenes are fantastic. Plus: Steve Guttenberg in short shorts roller skating through NYC. Don't expect too much and you will be richly rewarded.
