Susan Lucci and John James star as a young couple whose love is put to the test by mysterious eighteenth century forces. To celebrate their anniversary, Eric arranges a surprise trip to Unionville, a quaint colonial town, for his wife, Karen and two of their closest friends. They stay in a 200 year old inn, where the colonially dressed owner tries unsuccessfully to persuade Eric and his wife not to stay in a back room that has been locked up for years. Karen feels mysteriously drawn to the room and, in particular to a mirror and a portrait of an eighteenth century barmaid. It transpires that the barmaid was hanged nearly 200 years ago for killing her lover. Karen has strange dreams and before long the spirit of the sultry colonial barmaid appears in the full-length mirror in their room. The spirit possesses her and orders that she murder her husband. Can the strength of her love overcome the evil possession and save him from death?
