I have the original version with 2.0 stereo sound(english dub). The lack of good audio was always a slight disappointment for me. Because of the subpar sound of the original I decided to buy this version. The sound effects, music, and dialog in Ghost in the Shell 2.0 are impressive and some of the best audio I've ever heard in a movie. The CGI is a little weird in spots but not too distracting. For me, the sound difference is why I prefer this movie of the original.
