First off, Alexander Skarsgard is a great actor to just sit back and watch. It was an enjoyable film with a few laugh out loud scenes. ( SNAKE!) Just don't expect your "normal" portrayal of cops.

I like the two police characters. They have lots of good humor and comedy. Made me laugh hard at tunes. Kinda like was said earlier, a bit if Laura and hardy. But they are smart cops and have very elegant words to out mouth the bad guys. But I didn’t like all the cussing and use of four letter words that were too abundant from everyone’s mouth. I also didn’t like the non-family sex scenes and sex references. Too graphic for my family. So I stopped watching it after half way through because of these two things. It had great use of visual scenes and excellent views of Iceland, and Albuquerque and its surrounding area, really cool movie for that. They drive a 70’s car crazily like the Duke’s of Hazard, funny, like wild mad men. Tires screeching and a bit of McQueen’s Bullet. Remove the sex scenes and dirty language and it is a five star.

I didn't think I would like this movie as much but it's hilarious and keeps you entertained. Great cast and storyline. Loved everything about it. I highly recommend this if you have a dark sense of humor.

Multiple layers of depth, but not for those weak of heart. In todays world where you’re either 'left' or 'right', these two gentlemen live in a hilariously funny grey area in between, all the while doing a jig. The jokes are complex but delivered directly to your face, no need to search for them. People who dont like this movie are likely those who consider Fight Club a movie about a bunch a guys in various locations beating up on each other.

This is just a lot of people not caring about making a good movie. This film was made with pure apathy. It's not shot well, performed well, or directed well. I did not laugh once. Michael Pena is one of the funniest guys around today. How do you waste his talents? Put him in this movie.

In keeping with McDonagh's other films -- certainly The Guard.
It seems alot of the criticism pertains to the plot, which is in my view, a two dimensional assesment.
