This movie had my complete attention through its film noir beginning and the suspenseful middle. The end left sooooooo much to be desired, though. So what that their was a "surprise". There was no explanation to why any of the story happened.

This movie was nothing but a waste of time and money. Slow to get started, plotless, etc..etc..Some have compared it to an episode of the twilight zone, well, this movie doesnt even come close. Biggest waste of time and money Ive seen in awhile.

Interesting story with foreshadowing and symbolism along the way. There are a lot of twists and seeming contradictions, which leave the viewer thinking about the film long after it's over. May not be your cup of tea if you like things wrapped up at the end of a story with no effort on the part of the viewer. The feel of the movie is a general uneasy creepiness. May be more appealing to "mature" people who grew up watching Twilight Zone and Outer Limits.
  • Wow, it wasn't spoon fed.

This is not your average film. In fact, if you can't stand to have to think about a film afterwards, then this is not your cup of tea. All the negative reviews point to this fact. Now, if you like stuff like The Twilight Zone, EC Comics and David Lynch films (most comparable to Lost Highway) then this is something you will like. It has a graphic style to it, it is Noir-ish, and it is a hell of a ride. Sure beats the hell out of those neatly wrapped Hollywood films that explaine everthing to you every step of the way. If you like things outside of the norm, things that take risks, then see it. If you're looking for Saw, well, sorry.

Yeah, this is a big throwback to 50's horror and sci-fi. It's very Twilight Zone. It's very Outer Limits. This is a low budget film with shots created for 3D processing that have been made 2D, so the backgrounds don't always look perfect. The shots stand out, and for me it was a matter of realizing that it was supposed to be 3D, so it lends a bit of charm to the movie, and in a very odd way, a sense of dreamlike disconnection from the surroundings. I know, that's not the kind of thing you're going to read in a review for Tranformers2, is it? There is meaning, and intention, and a big payoff for anyone interested in seeing a drive in movie. This isn't a film maker putting in digital film scratches and saying it a grindhouse movie, and intenionally leaving out shots. This is old school. if you can appreciate low budget old school storytelling and style, you may just love this one.

you have to be a fan of old twilight zone to get this one. great cimenatography, cool effects, the acting is hysterically scary. again if you find old twilight zone episodes silly, you wont like this movie, but if you're a fan, check it out.

I watched this movie last night and couldnt believe what I was seeing! The back ground was fake. There were like 5 people and 3 scenes in the movie. Not to mention un wanted sexual content. It really was one of the most confusing and stupid movies I have seen in a while. Definetly not something to watch twice, or once for that matter. OH and do you see the cover of the movie?? Notice he has a shovel in his hand, in the movie they didnt have a shovel. I understand that they put the shovel on there to represent what they were doing but it bothers me that there wasn't a shovel in the actual movie... Just a bit of information for you... :)
