After Dark: The Hamiltons

It's a simple plot with a few twists and turns; I guess the big disappointment is that the "moment of revelation" that viewers anticipate never really arrived. It's not a boring film, but it's also not that interesting either. Though similar in spirit, I find "The Devil's Rejects", "The Crazies", and "The Pact" much more entertaining. P.S. one reviewer mentioned "filled with unnecessary sex scenes" - puzzling; as there was only a 5-second scene that would even remotely qualify as "sex scene"… are we all watching the same movie?

It's really confusing when you read movie reviews and every review seems to cancel the previous one out ("Too much gore", "Not enough violence and blood" etc.). Just watch it. Please just watch it and see for yourself. I am a twenty two year old female who really loves scary movies and I liked this one quite a bit. The story starts out slow, as most do, but gains in momentum and the ending is pretty smart. There is actually a sequel in the works now called The Thompsons (I think) and I cannot wait to see it. I have always liked a movie with an ending where the bad guy doesn't die because I have always wondered what happens when bad people just keep being bad at the end. That is where the sequel to the Hamiltons starts. The only thing is I wished for better music, but I always wish for better music in After Dark movies (or any low budget scary movies, really). I'm sure they'll get some good stuff for the sequel so I encourage you to watch this movie for yourself. I know so many people try to be negative on the internet and itunes because it's virtually anonymous but don't let their ignorance fool you, this movie deserves a watch, at least once!

Dont waste your time or money....Everyone has their own opinions but my gosh ive never seen something so terrible with no point and it wasnt even scary. Bad enough the movie sucked but having to watch a lot of it through a video camera made it worse.

Ummmm... I didn't expect the ending. But overall, I felt this was a good movie. If your bored and feel like watching a good horror, I would suggest renting it.

this film had promise in the trailer. the actual film was slow going and a little gross...but for the wrong reasons. i found myself wondering (yet again) how these after dark horrorfest films continue to get made. this felt like another local access cable film made with high hopes and a low budget. this horrorfest is truly horrible. save your time and money and look elsewhere.

I usually go for small time production movies and I always cut them a fair amount of slack, but this movie was horrible. The acting was garbage, the production was horrendous, and plot and story line was weak. Don't rent this, in fact after reading this review forget about this movie immediately.

i saw the movie twice but i really never understood who are what they are and i'm too lazy too find out but all in all i loved the movie

The characters are just ridiculous, and most are so unlikable that you just don't give a damn about any of them. I just really didn't like the flow of it. Plus I absolutely hated the ending. Oh, and p.s... if you're like me, you'll be pissed when you find out what "Lenny" looks like.

and unnecessary. Don't bother. Get a few dudes and a couple of screaming girls from your class, grab a bottle of ketchup and make your own version. At least you will have a laugh.
