Description

Everyone’s favorite Jersey Girls are back for a brand new season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, with even bigger drama. The series follows sisters (who happen to be married to brothers) Caroline and Dina Manzo, their sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita, long time family friend, Teresa Giudice and the always unpredictable Danielle Staub. Whether they are throwing a family function, out for a night on the town, or just gossiping with the girls — the ladies always find a way to be over the top and stay true to their own Jersey style. Last year’s table flip was just the beginning. From "bubbies" to babies and everything in between, season two of The Real Housewives of New Jersey brings the water-cooler sensation to a whole new level. With Jacqueline and Teresa both having babies, Caroline and Dina maintaining the Manzo family clan and Danielle still trying to make her way into the inner circle, the tension is high and the girls from the Garden State don’t hold back.

I have never been a big reality tv person but I love the housewives of new jersey. Dina worked hard for the things that she has. She didn't spend all of her days just shopping. She's a good mom and seemed like a very down to earth person. I like the other ladies too, but she was my favorite. Dina acted very classy toward Danielle. With all of things that was being done to her, I really can't blame her for leaving the show. Miss you and hope you will update everyone on your ladybug foundation.

I know they say that reality tv is often staged, however this version of the real housewives is certainly not and outrageously real. Join Caroline, Dina, Jacqueline, Teresa, and Danielle, a group of wealthy women of Italian heritage as they deal with normal issues faced by women in their lives. Danielle Staub finds herself ostracized and separated from the rest of the cast members since the infamous table-flipping incident. The drama only ensues up to the riveting two part reunion. Hold on to your seats this season will sure be a fantastic ride.
  • HALLELUJAH...DINA HAS SEEN THE LIGHT... (thank goodness someone on this show has!)

SPOILER ALERT: Danielle needs a dictionary; Kim G. gets major face work for her 2 minutes on the reunion show; Ashley crosses the line; Teresa loses her cool (once again); Jacqueline does SO well this season...learns to take care of her own needs before the needs of an unstable person (guess who) and a two-faced elderly woman who wears skirts and dresses with hemlines than even Allie McBeal wouldn't think of wearing. ..and then blows it during the reunion show by letting her guard down. You'll see. If it were not for Dina's common sense that staying on this show and being subjected to this tsunami of negative energy named _______ (guess who) would do more harm than good, and Caroline's sincere love of her children, husband, and self respect, I would not have been able to stomach more than two episodes of this show. The only reason I watched it in the first place is because I am bedridden and got sick of doing Soduko and solving the Rubik's Cube. I needed some down time! I was appalled and sickened by Danielle's behavior. Her negative energy seeps through the television set , therefore making The Real Housewives of New Jersey an unhealthy dose of unreality. Just keep your eye on her eldest daughter's body language : notice how she cringes and looks down every time her mother starts talking about the other women on the show. Danielle CLEARLY shared way too much information with her daughters. I found that to be the most disturbing thing to watch. Kim G. I have nothing to say about her (nothing positive). You'll have to watch the show (if you can stomach it.) Let me address the bastardization of "Spirituality" that goes on in this show (I have been studying world religions, Eastern Philosophy, Theology, and Hinduism for over 20 years). Women walking around wearing expensive crosses on their necks; women (one in particular) constantly talking about "karma" as if John Lennon's "Instant Karma" take on the subject is the true meaning. Hey, anyone taking the first step towards walking the spiritual path or starting a spiritual journey is a great thing, to be sure, but you can't just talk the talk and wear the clothes and symbolism. Your HEART has to be in it; and your actions as a human being are a direct reflection of the sincerity and effort one puts into their practice. You cannot constantly be causing drama and mayhem and call yourself spiritual. You have to walk the walk. That does NOT mean that you will be perfect, nor does it mean that you become a doormat. But if you are on a spiritual path with a spiritual advisor and you are still craving drama and causing drama and chaos in the world...well, it's either time to get a new teacher, or time to really look in the morror. Dina wore the crosses and has a Buddha statue on her (kitchen?) table, and has Zen Jen, this is true. But I found a sincerity in her journey--absolutely exemplified by the sheer notion that she refused to be around a certain person's caustic energy. I also commend Dina for her charity work. Although she was my favorite "housewife", I was glad to see her go. You cannot grow as a person if the people surrounding you are sucking your energy dry. It's impossible. On a side note: Dina has a talk with Danielle regarding her wanting Danielle out of her life. Danielle, of course, does not take this information as a positive and turns it all around (well, just watch the show...you've seen it all before....perhaps too many times). Dina was right when she said something to the effect that she thought perhaps Danielle wanted to skin her and wear her like last year's Versace; Dina wore a beautiful black jacket with a white top, and black "leather" looking pants to her meeting with Danielle, and then Danielle wore the SAME EXACT OUTFIT to Kim D.'s fashion show a right after Dina leaves the show. Strange for someone who vehemently denies wanting to be like Dina. (Oh, why am I writing this...as if I care!) I must say that I watched season one for entertainment purposes (again...I have lots of free time and I felt like watching something mindless and entertaining). However, I found Season Two difficult to watch. Kim G. represents everything that is wrong with wealthy people who think there is a some kind of hierarchy in the world regarding rich vs poor people. My heart went out to her son Sean during the scene where he was playing pool with Caroline's son Christopher (whom I think is just as cute as Albie!). The look on his face when his mother comes downstairs to ask "Chrissie" to set up a luncheon meeting with his mother , Caroline, ....it's sad. He looks absolutely mortified. What is a 54 year old woman doing on a stripper pole? Would you choose Danny to be YOUR bodyguard? I'm from New Jersey, and I have to say...I'm not ashamed that I watched this show, but I wish I didn't It wasn't a total wash though. Caroline's face during the reunion shows is worth every second I wasted watching this show--in gold. The rolling of her eyes says it all. Caroline is the real deal; perhaps the only "REAL" housewife on the show. She has her head on straight and she has a built in BS detector that can not be denied. During most of both seasons I found Caroline to be a control freak; but during the reunion shows I realized that she is just a straight shooter...and it is absolutely and unequivocably apparent that she loves her roll as mother and wife. Her loyalty is something to behold. So...there you have it. In parting, I would say that I am glad to hear that Danielle is not coming back for season three. Anyone who says the show will be boring without Danielle needs to see the episodes that take place in Italy. Fun. Fun. Fun. Bravo...please do not invite Kim G. to join the cast. Please. Enough grammar school drama already. What the world needs now is one less bully. And bravo to Dina for leaving the show. Blessings to you and Project Ladybug.
  • Joblessness

Danielle can over analyse every word a person says for example with Kim D who is two-faced and a strange person Teresa is classless and acts like someone who was raised in some ghetto. She lacks refinement and finesse and like Caroline said, doing nothing is the big thing to do so why does her whole life revolve around Danielle? What about her baby? Or a charity? or shopping? She must be insecure. Jacqueline is an instigator and spends all her time worrying about These ladies are jobless and a mockery on social society. They are trashy Ashley is badly bred and probably will end up not going to college and uneducated. The show is great but how can a whole show be about speaking ill of Danielle?
  • Too Much Violence and Hypocrisy!

It's like Desperate Housewives meets COPS around here. Even though Danielle seems like an unstable, grating personality, the other ladies are just a few shades better. Theresa is a brawling, foul-mouthed thug; Ashley is going to be Danielle 20 years from now if she doesn't watch her step; Caroline is bossy and needs to get a hobby other than her family; Dina punked out and Jacqueline was the only nice one in the bunch. What kills me is every one of them says they want to be done with the "Danielle Drama," but they keep it going. They bring her up in conversation out of nowhere. They keep calling confrontational meetings with her. They send her long emails. They start melees at country clubs. They pull hair out of her head. And would someone please chain up Theresa before she throws somebody else around?! If Caroline and the rest didn't want anything to do with the woman, then they should have written her off and COMPLETELY ignored her! If you freeze someone out long enough, they'll get the point and move on, trust me. No need to get into screaming matches all the time. Bravo needs to clean up this part of the franchise, or drop it. More fun, less violence, PLEASE.
