This movie is funnier & funnier every time you watch. Agreed it is not for the young crowd but the time in which it was made nearly 40 years ago, this film clearly stands the comedic test of time.

This movie is ranchy, funny. The people that don't like this movie can't suspend belief. It's 80's humor and one of Kurt's best performaces. This was before Escape from NY and his breakway from Disney movies.
  • A Real “Killer” B Movie (one of 237!)

This review is an excerpt from my book “Killer B’s: The 237 Best Movies On Video You’ve (Probably) Never Seen,” which is available as an ebook on iBooks. If you enjoy this review, there are 236 more like it in the book (plus a whole lot more). Check it out! USED CARS: How can you not love a film in which the first word uttered is the F bomb? But how can I recommend a flick that begins as the most aggressively anarchic comedy since the Marx Bros. made movies, then slows into a dumb love story, and eventually shifts into reverse, as a formulaic, feel-good, cliché-ridden car chase flick? Here’s how: Don’t watch it all the way to the end. You’ll only be disappointed. You know the good guys are gonna win—and after watching V8-motormouth Rudy in action, baiting and skating and cynically scheming, you do *not* want to see him morally redeemed in the name of love. Watch it instead as 65 minutes of manic anarchy and obscene cynicism. The high points of the movie are the pirate commercials; after the “Marshall Lucky” sequence (a rabid masterpiece of commercial lampooning), just turn the movie off! And be thankful we got even *that* much brilliance stuffed into one film!

Don't listen to ct718. They must be DEAD! This is a classic, one of the funniest movies in film history! Kurt Russell & Jack Warden at their best! I highly recommend it, but not for kids.
  • Nothing funny in this movie

My husband and I watched this movie and can't figure out what was supposed to be funny. The only thing we can think of is that the people who liked the movie saw it in the 80's and get nostalgic when they see it again because it's not funny. Definitely not recommended.
  • Outstanding!!!!!

OMG, I nearly passed out when I saw that iTunes finally made the movie "Used Cars" available for purchase. I've sent so many e-mails to iTunes asking when this movie would be available and never got a good response back. But, I would like to say "Thank You" iTunes :-) You just made the rest of 2011 a grand year.
