A classic

I can’t believe I waited 26 years to finally watch this movie. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Timothy Robbins and Morgan Freeman were superb! Actually, all the actors were superb. I loved the ending.

This film should have won best picture that year at the Academy Awards! This is one if not the most underrated film ever! Great Directing by Frank Darabont! Great cast! Great story!

This movie is really depressing and sad at times but this is a true modern piece of art. The performences by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman is fantastic. If you watch this movie more than twice you will start to feel more than depressed but i enjoyed this prison cell oprea with beautiful music, cinematopgraphy and acting watch it!

I watched this movie for the first time tonight (I had only seen clips of it before) and it was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. The acting by familiar faces (Morgan Freeman, William Sadler and Clancy Brown) was superb and Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne was great! I think Clancy Brown (who plays the psychopathic, sadistic prison guard Byron Hadley) should’ve gotten an Oscar for his role in the movie, he was fantastic. Shawshank Redemption is just a classic masterpiece.

I really don’t need to go into detail. The acting is amazing, the story is incredible, it’s very well told, and it’s inspiring. Could you ask for anything more? It’s simply a masterpiece. Forrest Gump was a good movie. But Shawshank Redemption was much better. It should have at least won one Oscar. It’s of the greatest film of all time.
