…so what is the intent of editorializing a probably-this-coulda-happened dramatization of an insane killer? other than being a complete fabrication like some chump supporters fbook page, are these producers simply wanting to promote mass killers? are they wanting to celebrate mindless killing? what is the point? this maniac was insane, an imbecile, alone for extended part of his life, and a misanthrope that never was observed nor studied so this movie is completely made up. just like a chumpster follower blindly voting for violence. …… why rationalize hate and violence??? none of this happened, this mass murderer was investigated by some of the best agents and police detectives and yet this movie is a mere creative dramatization. why not focus on the investigators? what’s the point?
  • Slow movie, different perspective, good actor(s)

This movie was really slow and only showed the prospective of the criminal. It was artful and well acted, but moved very slow. Everyone did a great job (acting, filming, etc), but it wasn’t highly entertaining. Worth seeing if you like “art”, it’s either a 5/5 or 1/5 depending on your attention span.

This movie was extremely show. If you don’t previously know about Ted, this movie does not describe what he did well. Netflix series was more entertaining and documentive
  • Kaczynski was a horrible human being

This film brilliantly humanizes Ted Kaczynski but it borders on softening the fact Kaczynski was a horrible human being. Ted’s prayers for the cleansing waterfall, or the rabbit he has killed for food are interspersed with slo-mo explosions that injure innocent victims. This strikes a balance that is captivating but meanwhile subtly justifies Teds sociopathic nonsensical logic as visionary. Sure, Kaczynski occasionally points out the compromises we make daily, yes, we erode the environment and our psyches - but even a broken clock is right, twice a day. This is no serial killer documentary, it’s a look inside a disturbed, pathetic, lonely little man, but the film fails to show his absolute evil.
  • Beautifully shot & compelling

Very interesting look into the complex and troubled mindset of Kaczynski. Thought the use of 80s/ 90s film styling and editing was a clever nod to the period. Great acting from Copley!
  • Beautiful cinematography

A must! This is so beautifully shot and produced. The film gives you an unbiased glimpse into the man and the horrors he manifested in such a calculated way against the modern world around him. I don’t understand Ted Kazinsky anymore than I did before the film, but the film does allow you to experience the bizarre psychological hells-cape he found himself trapped by in his attempts to leave the grid. Watch this film!

This is an all encompassing study of one man’s battle with mental illness and isolation. Visually stunning. Sound is super impactful (if not overwhelming at times). Must see.

Must have seen a different movie than some reviewers. Incredible acting. Cinematography & music excellent. Filmed where Ted K’s cabin was in Lincoln, Montana. Well researched and an impressive piece of movie making.
