Pettyfer surprises everyone, to say the least. Who knew that beyond a capable actor with legions of fans he was a very capable director, too? Studios and directors will have to bat an eye after this standout performance. The movie is certainly real-life, but his roots are in action/fantasy/sci-fi — in more of a blockbuster environment. It’s only UP from here.
